The WW I plaque was designed by Mr C.W. Turner, the art master of the school, and was unveiled on 31 December 1925. WW II plaque unveiled July 1948; during the ceremony, a former headmaster, Dr J H Parkinson, died. Unveiling was performed by a former pupil, Major P F Acford.
