Born : 1901, Brighstone, Isle of Wight.

Married : 1933, Audrey May Redstone, St Mary's Church, Brading. One son, Donald, born 1934, registered Sandown/Shanklin sub-district.

1911 : Henry and Louisa Finlay, with their children including Colin aged 13 and Roy aged 9, are at Moss Bank, Shanklin, Isle of Wight. Henry Finlay is a Naval Pensioner; Church Caretaker.

His older brother, Leonard Henri Harcourt Finlay, served as a Writer in the Royal Navy. He was born on 27 Aug 1883. There is no evidence that he lived on the Isle of Wight. He is commemorated on the Shanklin St Blasius' Church Scroll of Remembrance - those who served

His older brother, Ernest William Finlay, served during the Great War, but no details of his service record are known. He was born in 1888. There is no evidence that he lived on the Isle of Wight. He is commemorated on the Shanklin St Blasius' Church Scroll of Remembrance - those who served

His older brother, Walter James Finlay, died in World War I in the explosion on H.M.S. Bulwark, on 26 Nov 1914. Born 2 Oct 1885, at Ecclesbourne, Sussex, he served from 1900 as a Writer in the Royal Navy, and although commemorated on the Shanklin Memorials there is no evidence that he lived on the Isle of Wight.
