To the Lasting Memory of
OLD BOYS OF THE ANCIENT GRAMMAR SCHOOL at NEWPORT, ISLE OF WIGHT who fell in the two World Wars 1914 - 18 and 1939 - 45 THIS BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE IS DEDICATED and their names herein ENSHRINED that by the noble Sacrifice of their lives they may LIVE AGAIN in the minds of each new generation of Scholars and inspire the SCHOOL perpetually with THE HIGH COURAGE and SELFLESS DEVOTION TO DUTY which they so well exemplified in their lives among us. "Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life" REVELATION II. X. names as given below This Last Page is in memory of ALL OLD BOYS OF THE SCHOOL who fell in both World Wars and whose Names are not Recorded in this Book Names recorded on Rolls of Honour Each name is given on a separate page, and there is no obvious order in the names, which are a mixture of WW I and WW II deaths.
