Since the Memorial forms part of the Church fabric, it is assumed to be covered by the Listing. Description The Chapel of St Martin (originally St Christopher) was dedicated as the Parish War memorial. Panels lining the Chapel walls are inscribed with the names of parishioners who died in the Great War. The Chapel was opened by Maj-Gen the Right Hon. J E B Seely, C.B., C.M.G., D.S.O. on Thursday the 29th June 1922. It was dedicated by the Rev the Hon Ivo Fiennes. The late son of a former vicar, the Rev J E Eddis, is commemorated on the memorial, and it was dedicated to St Christopher in his honour. There are no World War II names.
