Norman Lale's aunt, Caroline Elizabeth Mary Lale was married to Fred William Channing, the brother of Percival Cyril Channing and uncle of Cyril Oscar Channing (both of whom died, in WW I and WW II respectively) - no relationship at all really!

Bill and Dick Paffett named in the list of floral tributes were brothers William and Richard Paffett. William Henry Paffett is also listed on the Boys Scouts' Memorial at Holy Trinity Church and Ventnor War Memorial. The Mrs Paffett mentioned in the report is their stepmother, Thurza Eliza Paffett.

I know that Mr Maycock of the Island Stores is called Mr Haycock in the list of floral tributes.
