The Town Hall is Listed Grade II. Since the War Memorial panels are an integral part of the structure, it is assumed they are covered by the Listing.
Description
Hopton Stone panels on the Town Hall, the Great War memorial being the work of Mr F Cooper of Newport.
The Great War memorial was unveiled and dedicated Sunday 27th July 1924, by Maj-Gen J E B Seely, CB,CMG,DSO, MP.

This is believed to refer to Albert Henry Stickland, who lived in Yarmouth in 1911 with his wife Elizabeth. Born in 1877 in Blandford, Dorset,
he served with the 2nd Bn., Hampshire Regt. and who died in Mesopotamia (Iraq) of sickness on 25 March 1917. |

Frederick James Sheaff died on 4th July 1917 aged 41. On his Death Certificate, he is shown as being a Naval pensioner. The death was registered by his widow, Rose Sheaff, of Bembridge.
His name is also recorded on the Shalfleet War Memorial at St Michael's Church |
