BRIGHSTONE GRANGE STATION
OF THE
ROYAL NATIONAL LIFEBOAT INSTITUTION


Vessels and lives saved

The first Life Boat placed on this Station by
the Royal National Lifeboat Institution was
sent here in 1860.
It was presented to the Institution by
the Royal Victoria Yacht Club and was
named The "RESCUE"
In 1866 that Life Boat was replaced by another
bearing the same name after having saved 138 lives
from the following vessels :

In 1880 this Life Boat was replaced by a new
and larger Boat after having saved 49 lives from
the following vessels :
