The first Life Boat placed on this Station by
the Royal National Lifeboat Institution was sent here in 1860. |
It was presented to the Institution by
the Royal Victoria Yacht Club and was named The "RESCUE" |
In 1866 that Life Boat was replaced by another
bearing the same name after having saved 138 lives from the following vessels : |
