1881 : Richard and Jane Noyce, with their children including George aged 8, are at 10 High St, Cowes. Richard Noyce is a Dyer &c, employing 3 boys.

1891 : not located

1901 : Richard and Jane Noyce are listed at 11 High Street, Cowes; George not located (presumed to be at sea), but his wife Caroline and their children are at Ashton terrace, Gordon Road, Cowes

1911 : Richard and Jane Noyce are listed at High Street, Cowes; George not located (presumed to be at sea), but his wife Caroline and their children are at Taormina, Stephenson Road, Cowes

  Service Details :

Assistant Engineer George Ruffin Noyce, Royal Naval Reserve.

Medal Index records indicate he was entitled to the 1914 Star, the British War Medal and Victory Medal, and the R.N. Long Service and Good Conduct Medal. However The National Archives appear to have no service record for him.

The Isle of Wight County Press Roll of Honour for October 1914 names him as Eng. R. Noyce, s.y. Ombra.

Died : 7 Nov 1916, aged 44.

Lost at sea, precise circumstances unknown.
