His brother Charles Edward BUSH died on 9th December 1900 as a result of standing for 5 hours as part of the Hampshire Militia welcome guard of honour to General Buller. He had served less than 3 months in the Militia, and had previously been rejected for service due to being underweight and having chest problems. His brother George Henry BUSH served in the Royal Navy from 1898 - 1920. |
