Harry Barrett is a Stoker on Railway Engine. 1901 : Harry and Emily Barrett, with their children (Cecil is not included), are at 45 Trafalgar Road, Newport. Harry Barrett is a General Labourer. 1911 : Harry and Emily Barrett, with their children including Ernest aged 21, are at 6 Barton Road, Newport. Harry Barrett is a Crane Driver. Ernest Barrett is a Shop Assistant. Emily Barrett listed all her children on the Census return; those not at home have subsequently been crossed out by the Enumerator. From this we see that Cecil, George (William) and Percy Barrett are Privates in H.M. Army, and Arthur Barrett is serving in H.M. Navy. Fred is still at school. |
