IN EVER LOVING MEMORY OF SILAS NEWTON CAWS MASTER MARINER AND JUSTICE OF THE PEACE FOR THE BOROUGH OF RYDE BORN AT SEA VIEW ISLE OF WIGHT MARCH 4TH 1845 ENTERED INTO REST JAN 21ST 1923 AT HIS RESIDENCE "GLENVILLE" RYDE SAFE HOME, SAFE HOME IN PORT AND OF HIS BELOVED WIFE MARGARET JANE DIED AT "GLENVILLE" RYDE APRIL 9TH 1932 AGED 78 YEARS O HAPPY SAINTS FOR EVER BLEST IN THAT CALM HAVEN OF YOUR REST ALSO IN EVER LOVING MEMORY OF RONALD NEWTON CAWS M.C. CAPTAIN AND ADJT 10TH GLOUCESTER REGT FOURTH SON OF THE ABOVE WHO FELL IN THE GREAT WAR JULY 31ST 1917 IN HIS 28TH YEAR AND WHOSE MORTAL REMAINS ARE BURIED AT MARBRICK, FLANDERS THE GOLDEN EVENING BRIGHTENS IN THE WEST SOON, SOON TO FAITHFUL WARRIORS COMES THEIR REST SWEET IS THE CALM OF PARADISE THE BLEST.
