Alban Charles Tully : Born : 1889, Ryde. R.M.L.I. records (as Alban Charles Tulley) give date of birth as 21 May 1887. Herbert Harold Tully : Born : 1892, Ryde. Census Information : 1891 : Charles and Sarah Tully, with Alban aged 1, are at 1, Apley Villas, Marlborough Road, Ryde. Charles Tully is a Gardener. 1901 : Charles and Sarah Tulley [sic], with their children including Alban aged 12, and Herbert aged 8 are at Lorne House, Marlborough Road, Ryde. Charles Tulley is a Greengrocer. 1911 : Charles and Sarah Tully, with Herbert aged 18, are at Lorne House, Marlborough Road, Ryde. Charles Tulley is a Jobbing Gardener; Herbert Tully is a Hotel Porter.. 1911 : Alban Charles Tulley [sic], aged 23, is a Lance Corporal, R.M.L.I., H.M.S. Egmont, Malta. Service Information : Private PO/14071 Alban Charles Tully, Portsmouth Bn. R.N. Div., Royal Marine Light Infantry. Enlisted in R.M.L.I. 16 Apr 1905. Portsmouth Bn. R.N.D. were at Ostend, Dunkirk & Antwerp in 1914 where Tully was taken Prisoner of War; 7 Feb 1916 exchanged as POW ; 16 Feb 1916 admitted 'D' Ward, Barrack Hospital, Millbank; died of disease on 26 Feb 1916.
