Son of George Ayles and Kate Rebecca Ayles (née Etheredge), of Freshwater.

Born 1884, Shalfleet. (Birth registered as Keith Shrubb Ayles).

1891 : George and Kate Ayles, with their children including Keith aged 7, are at Copse Lane, Freshwater. George Ayles is an Agricultural Labourer.

1901 : George and Kate Ayles, with their children including Keith aged 17, are at Blakes Farm, Wellow. George Ayles is a Labourer; Keith Ayles is a Labourer (General).

1911 : George and Kate Ayles, with their children, including Keith aged 28, are at Church Street, Freshwater. George Ayles is 'infirm'; Keith Ayles is a Brickmaker.
