Isle of Wight Council Local Listing Status The War Memorial has been included in the list of structures of Local importance held by the Isle of Wight Council (June 2008). Description An obelisk bearing the names of the Porchfield men who died in both World Wars. The original wooden cross was replaced by the present memorial, due to the deterioration in the original wooden structure. See also the Methodist Church War memorial plaque in the Village Hall. |
