On the verge to the north of St Mary's Church, Brighstone, Isle of Wight, PO30 4AQ. The War Memorial may be situated within the curtilage of the Church, but it cannot be assumed that it is included within the Listing. The Memorial was listed in its own right at Grade II in 2020. Description and history Granite cross. Funded by public subscription. Unveiled in 1920 by Parish Rector. The date of the rededication with the WW II names is not known. An additional WW II name was inscribed by Wight Stonemasonry Ltd. |
