English Heritage Listing Status

St Mary's Church is Grade I Listed. The War Memorial may be situated within the curtilage of the Church, but it cannot be assumed that it is included within the Listing.

The Memorial was listed in its own right at Grade II in 2020. See Brighstone War Memorial, HE Listing
 
Isle of Wight Council Local Listing Status
 
The War Memorial has been included in the list of structures of Local importance held by the Isle of Wight Council (June 2008).
 
Description and history

Granite cross.
Funded by public subscription.
Unveiled in 1920 by Parish Rector.

The date of the rededication with the WW II names is not known.

An additional WW II name was inscribed by Wight Stonemasonry Ltd.
