NEWPORT NATIONAL SCHOOL WAR MEMORIAL will be UNVEILED, at 6.30 p.m., on THURSDAY 9th JUNE, by LIEUT.-COL. MACKENZIE HOGAN, C.V.O., Mus.Doc., Hon. R.A.M. Will Relatives of the Fallen and "Old Boys" of the School whose addresses are not known to the Secretary kindly take this notice as an earnest invitation to be present. The memorials were rededicated on the move to new premises in 1989 by Canon J F Buckett. There appears to be a series of plaques in the School as described below : A pictorial bronze depicting a desert scene. A small brass plaque. Two name plaques A Roll of Honour for World War II The modelling for the panels was done by the Misses Ediss - three sisters who were all Art Teachers, named Caroline Montalba (1875-1963), Clytie (1878-), and Flora (1880-1973).
