Born 1897 Newchurch.

1901 : James and Mary Ann Saunders, with their children, including Albert aged 4, are at Hill Cottage, Queen Bower, Newchurch. James Saunders is a Cattle Man.

1911 : James and Mary Ann Saunders, with their children, including Albert aged 14, are at Shalfleet Hill, nr Yarmouth. James Saunders is a Cow Man on Farm; Albert is a Cow Boy.

Rifleman 1137 Albert Saunders, 1/8th Bn Hampshire Regiment (Isle of Wight Rifles).

Casualty details :

Died : 10 August 1915 aged 18
