James is a son of Mr. Arthur James, chairman of the Carisbrooke Parish Council, of Alvington-road, Carisbrooke, and it is not clear from the official notice whether he has been wounded. He was employed at Mr. R.C. Gray's business establishment at Newport. [the preceding report relates to service in Gallipoli]
