ISLE OF WIGHT MERCURY
Friday, June 22, 1945 Page 1 Some Topical Reflections by B.W.R. Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Webber, Zigzag Road, Ventnor, received intimation that their son, Jeffery (sic) Francis Webber, is presumed to have lost his life on an operational flight over Stettin, Germany, some months ago. The inhabitants will regretfully appreciate the tension they have endured since he was first reported as missing. Jeffery Webber, who was twenty years of age, and was articled to a firm of surveyors at Shanklin before enlistment, represented the best type of the public school boy, and a successful scholastic career assured him of a success in life. He was a pilot observer, with many flights to his credit. His parents and family will have sincere condolence in the loss of an only son. |

Further information :
115 Sqn operated Avro Lancaster aircraft in 1944. No details of the flight or crew are known. However, since he is buried in a collective grave, it can be assumed that the other crew members are those buried in that grave :
