Friday, March 3, 1944 Page 1 Flight Sergeant Robin O'Hara Murray, R.A.F.V.R., previously reported missing from
air operations, is now officially reported to have been killed in September last.
Aged 20 years and 11 months, he was the youngest son of the late James O'Hara Murray,
and Mrs. O'Hara Murray, of Reeth Lodge, Niton.
Flying a Hawker Typhoon Mk Ib aircraft, serial no JP536, of 175 Sqn, O'Hara Murray was shot down by a German Focke-Wulf 190 of JG26, a German fighter unit stationed at Abbeville in France. |
