The aircraft took off at 21.32 hrs from Dunholme Lodge on operations to Schweinfurt,but crashed at Landeville 13 km SW of Joinville in France. Flt/Sgt Mills survived and was taken Prisoner of War, while all the others are buried at Landeville.
