Description

A calvary cross with panels naming casualties from the Great War. There are six panels, for the Great War names, but no names for World War II. It was unveiled by the Rt Hon Maj-Gen J E B Seely, Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire, and was dedicated by the Bishop of Southampton on 11th March 1921.
According to the report of the dedication ceremony "Messrs T. and J. Ellery were entrusted with the entire work, which has been well executed.". The firm of T. and J. Ellery were monumental masons who were based in West Street, Ryde, just a few hundred yards from the church.

In 2018, the Memorial was cleaned and repaired, and the names re-carved and enamelled. The work was part funded by a grant from War Memorials Trust, with other contributions from the Friends of All Saints' Church, and other grant-making bodies. The work was carried out by Wight Stonemasonry Ltd.

A service of re-dedication was held on 4th November 2018 conducted by Canon David Isaac of Portsmouth Cathedral. The Lord Lieutenant of the Isle of Wight, Major General Sir Martin White, KCVO, CB, CBE, JP, and the High Sheriff, Mrs Gioia Minghella-Giddens, laid wreaths.

See also the names on the War Memorial Chapel reredos in All Saints Church.
