TO THE MEMORY OF GEORGE ABERCROMBY ROBERTSON ESQRE., ELDEST SON OF THE LATE COL. GEORGE ROBERTSON, AND MARIA CLARA, HIS WIFE, AND LATE CAPTAIN IN H.M. 15TH HUSSARS; WHO, AFTER UPWARDS OF 23 YEARS SERVICE CHIEFLY AT THE CAPE OF GOOD HOPE AND IN THE EAST INDIES, WHERE HE WAS ENGAGED IN THE COORG WAR IN 1834 AND SEVERELY WOUNDED IN STORMING A STOCKADE AT THE HEAD OF THE GRENADIERS OF THE 55TH REGIMENT, DIED AT NEWPORT IN THIS ISLAND, ON THE 26TH MAY, 1854, AGED 44 YEARS.
