Austin Roland Oliver Morris was born in 1874 in Brighstone, the son of Charles Morris and Charlotte Morris (née New).

Austin Roland Morris served as Pte 24659 with the 15th Bn Hampshire Regiment and was awarded the British War Medal and Victory Medal. He died aged 42.
