Frank Webster joined the RAFVR prior to the Second World War, and joined 610 Sqn at
RAF Biggin Hill on the 28th July 1940.
Flying Supermarine Spitfire Mk.I R6595 DW-O of 610 County of Chester Sqn, the aircraft was severely damaged by a Bf109ME at 12.40 hours on
the 26th August 1940 during the Battle of Britain. He was killed when attempting to land
at RAF Hawkinge, the aircraft catching fire.
P/O Webster came from Lake, Isle of Wight.
