His occupation is given as Storeman on the Australian War Memorial records.P/O Rendle served with 181 Squadron Royal Air Force at Hurn, equipped with Hawker Typhoon aircraft on close bombing and rocket missions in support of the invasion forces on the Normandy beaches.
