Born at Newtown, Co Roscannon, Ireland
Died at Shanklin, Isle of Wight
On 21 August 1857 during the Siege of Lucknow, Captain Gore-Browne led a successful sortie to spike two heavy guns which were causing much damage to the Residency defences.
Gazetted 20 June 1862.
Medals are held at Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry Museum
