An Airman's funeral
The funeral took place at St. Boniface Church, Bonchurch, on Monday, of Sergt. John Ewart Price, R.A.F., who lost his life in a flying accident. He was the only son of Mr. and Mrs. G. Price, of 18 King's Road, Leicester, and son-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. F. Perriman, of Westfield, Bonchurch. His widow, Mr. and Mrs. Perriman's only daughter, is a Section Officer of the W.A.A.F. He was 33 years of age and before joining the R.A.F. two years ago was on the staff of the Westminster Bank at Baker Street, London. The sympathy of many friends is extended to the widow, parents and other members of both families in their sad bereavement.
The Rector (Rev. H. Haworth Coryton, M.A.) conducted the very impressive service in the church.
Appropriate hymns were sung, with Miss Gwladys Williams, L.R.A.M., at the organ.
The principal mourners were Section Officer J.E. Price (widow), Mr. and Mrs. G. Price (father and mother), Mr. and Mrs. F. Perriman (father-in-law and mother-in-law), Section Officer Sancto, W.A.A,F., and Miss L.E. Judd. Several relatives and other friends were unable to be present owing to war-time conditions.
The many floral tributes included those sent by deceased's own Squadron, officers and colleagues, and the staff of the Westminster Bank, Baker Street.

141 Sqn were equipped with Bristol Beaufighter Mk IF aircraft at R.A.F. Ford. Records show that Sgt Price died while a crew member of aircraft serial no R2248. The other crew members were
