A modern memorial headstone, erected in about 2016/7, in memory to a veteran of the Peninsular Wars, and the Battle of Waterloo, whose grave had previously been unmarked.

He served in the Royal Artillery
in the Peninsular War 1812-1814
and at the Battle of Waterloo 1815


 
Further Information

A William Reed and his wife Mary appear in Census returns at Little Birchmoor, Arreton, as an Agricultural Labourer; it is presumed that this is the same person.
