Married 1913, Maggie Rose Janet Kent, at St Paul's Church, Shanklin.

SHANKLIN
Pte. Edwin Lewis, a machine gunner in the Hants Regiment, was killed in France on May 29th and buried at Hazelbrouek. Pte. Lewis, was 30 years of age, and prior to enlistment carried on a boot-repairing business at Enville Villa, Regent-street. He leaves a widow to mourn his loss.
  Further information :

His brother-in-law Albert Edward Kent died while in service with the Royal Air Force in 1919, and he is buried at Shanklin Cemetery.
