Mr. G.H. Kent, of Necomen-road, Lake, has six sons and one grandson serving in H.M. Forces. They are: William Kent, Yorkshire Regiment; James Kent, Hampshire Regiment; Sidney Kent, I.W. Rifles; Edward Kent, Hampshire Regiment; Fred Kent, Worcestershire Regiment; Ernest Kent, I.W. Rifles; and G. Head (Portsmouth), Hants Fortress Engineers.

KENT. - Dec. 13, died of wounds in 26th Stationary Hospital, Egypt, Rfn. Edward Victor Kent, 20th Batt. Rifle Brigade, husband of Mrs. Mabel Kent, 5 Woodbine-terrace, Sandown, aged 29.
Sleep on dear Ted, in a far-off grave,
In a land we may never see.
On earth there's strife, in Heaven rest;
We miss you most who loved you best.

SANDOWN
News is to hand of the death on December 13, in Egypt, of Rfn. Edward Victor Kent, 20th Batt. Rifle Brigade, husband of Mrs. Kent, 5 Woodbine-terrace. The deceased, who died of wounds, joined up on September 4, 1914 and was previously employed on the links of the Shanklin and Sandown Golf Club and as a postman at Sandown. He leaves a young widow and three little girls, whose ages range from 4½ to 7 years.
