Bonchurch is paying its share of the grim toll of war. No less than six men from the village have made the supreme sacrifice, and it is a curious coincidence that all those who have fallen bore the Christian name of George, namely: George Hitchman, George White, George Hastings [1], George Russell, George Woodford, and George Harbourne.
