Saturday, December 15, 1917 Page 8 WROXALL Pte. William Fletcher, second son of Mr. J. Fletcher, St. John's, was killed in action in Palestine on November 8th. Being in France at the outbreak of war he joined the Foreign Legion at Orleans, and after active service in the trenches in France got transferred to the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders. He went with the Expeditionary Force to Egypt, and thence to Palestine. |
