Friday, May 21, 1915 Page 4 The greatest sympathy will be felt for Mr. and Mrs. F. Canton, of "Woodlands," Ventnor in the death at the front of their only son, Lieutenant Herbert W. Canton, of the East Lancashire Regiment. He had been at the front since last August and had taken part in some of the hardest fighting. The gallant officer was killed in action near Ypres on May 13th. Lieutenant Canton was 24 years of age.
