... Pte. George Symmans, son of the late Mr. Harry Symmans, is in hospital in this country, having received serious leg injuries from shrapnel splinters whilst engaged in fighting on the Western Front. Before returning to Army life he was in the employ of Mr. Harold Howell as a plumber, etc., and early this year was married to Miss Lily Kent, of St. Lawrence.

In a letter to a local townsman, Mr. George Symmans, who was wounded in France recently, states that he is making good progress and is able to walk a little. He wishes to be remembered to all his pals.
