ERNEST FLUX born 16.3.1890 son of GEORGE & ELIZABETH FLUX, DUKES FARM, REW STREET, NORTHWOOD, I.W.
ERNEST was serving in the I.W. TERRITORIALS before the GREAT WAR.
On 22.3.1915 he joined the R.F.A. 5th. HANTS HOWITZER BATTERY.
A year later he died in captivity, after the siege of KUT-EL-AMARA, TURKEY. 30.4.1916.
Ernest was 26 years old.
The burial service was reverently read over him by CAPTAIN R.L.FLUX M.C. in the presence of his comrades, the scene being a very touching one.
This was reported in the I.W.COUNTY PRESS on 28.12.1918.
