The aircraft took off at 22.20 hrs from RAF Mildenhall on Ops to Nuremburg. It was shot down by night fighters, and crashed 11 km East of Baumbach and 7 km North of Mountaubar.
The crew are buried in collective grave 10 C 21 at Rheinberg War Cemetery.
Pilot Officer Sutton lived at Lake, Isle of Wight.
Flt Sgt McClean came from Totland Bay, Isle of Wight, the Son of Frank Allen McClean and Ethel Louisa McClean.
