At Sandown Airport, Isle of Wight IWM War Memorials Archive Record The Memorial is not recorded by the War Memorials Archive. Description A marble memorial stone to the members of the armed forces who died during and after the D-Day landings in Normandy 1944. The plaque was unveiled on 6th June 2004 by the Lord Lieutenant of the Isle of Wight, Christopher Bland. This Memorial has been resited in 2016 following rebuilding work. |
