Newport CE Middle School, Hinton Road, Newport, Isle of Wight Description Originally the Great War memorial was unveiled at the School when located at Carisbrooke Road, Newport. The memorials were rededicated on the move to new premises in 1989 by Canon J F Buckett. There appears to be a series of plaques in the School as described below : A pictorial bronze depicting a desert scene. A small brass plaque. Two name plaques A Roll of Honour for World War II At St Thomas's Church in Newport, is the Book of Remembrance for the School.
