Description The memorial is a granite plaque mounted on a cairn of concrete set with beach pebbles. It was erected in 1995 to replace an earlier memorial from Mrs Ida Mary Salter, in memory of her son, marking the gift of land to the National Trust. The memorial was dedicated on Saturday 23rd September 1995 by Canon James Buckett. The plaque was engraved by Mr Phil Attrill, a monumental mason, and cost £580. |
