Description

A brass plaque, approx 24" x 15", originally erected in the Chapel of Weston Manor on 23rd October 1915. St Saviour's R.C. Church was built in 1923; it is presumed that the Memorial plaque was relocated at about this time.

Commemorated at : Thiepval Memorial, Somme, France.

Note that his military records give his middle name as Edward; Edmund does not seem to appear in the records other than on the Plaque itself.

William Edmund White does not appear to be commemorated on any other Island War Memorial.
