IN LOVING MEMORY OF AUDREY WIFE OF HALLAM LORD TENNYSON BORN AUGUST 19 1854 DIED DECEMBER 7 1916 SHE WENT ABOUT DOING GOOD THRICE BLEST WHOSE LIVES ARE FAITHFUL PRAYERS WHOSE LOVES IN HIGHER LOVE ENDURE WHAT SOULS POSSESS THEMSELVES SO PURE OR IS THERE BLESSEDNESS LIKE THEIRS? ALSO IN LOVING MEMORY OF HAROLD COURTENAY TENNYSON R.N. YOUNGEST SON OF HALLAM, LORD TENNYSON AND AUDREY, LADY TENNYSON NAVIGATING SUB-LIEUTENANT IN H.M.S. VIKING WHO WAS KILLED ON ACTIVE SERVICE IN THE ENGLISH CHANNEL HE GAVE HIS LIFE TO SERVE HIS GOD, HIS KING AND HIS COUNTRY IN DEFENCE OF TRUTH, LIBERTY AND JUSTICE AND RESTS WITH HIS MOTHER IN THIS CHURCHYARD.
