Rfn. George Wallis, 1/8th Hants Regt., attached R.E., aged 23, second son of Mr. J. Wallis, of Wroxall, died from pneumonia in Palestine on November 14th. He joined up voluntarily in 1914, and went to Egypt in 1916. He was employed by Mr. Sims, builder, Ventnor, before the war.
