The name of Pte. W. Davis (Dorset Regt.) son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Davis, of Worsley Cottages, Ventnor, appears in the official list as having won the Military Medal. His parents have received no news of their son since he was reported wounded and missing.

Note : There appears to be no official record of the award of the Military Medal.
